Robot Design & Construction
After two weeks of students and mentors working together to meet the challenge of Recycle Rush, the prototyping period came to an end and the design of the 2015 Daisy robot took shape. Members of the CAD sub-team began to sketch individual components of the robot as the final dimensions were decided upon. Once headway was made on these designs, members of the mechanical sub-team began to measure and cut the parts of the drive base. Assembly began before the end of the week, though much more work needs to be done. Meanwhile, other students finalized the design of the intake mechanism
Media and PR/Awards
During week three, the media sub-team finished the Ramp Riot recap video, which had been long in the making. They also started work on the vlog for weeks three and four, requiring students to film and photograph others as they did their work. As always, the team Flickr was updated with new photographs. Members of the PR/Awards sub-team worked on the Dean’s List Award and Woodie Flowers Award essays. Special attention was given to updating the team business plan, which is submitted for the Entrepreneurship Award.

Website
The website sub-team, after two weeks of working on website updates, chose a new theme for the website. This new theme is sleek and modern and brings a more uniform feel to the team, Ramp Riot, and Flickr websites. Students also developed a new sitemap to make navigating the new website as straightforward as possible.
