Today, Team 341 had the honor of being part of the Comcast/NBCU TECHWomen Conference in Philadelphia. The conference participants included 100 of the top women executives at Comcast/NBCU and there were different sessions they could attend.
Jessica E. was our team’s representative, serving on two 45-minute panels called “Tech Women of Tomorrow.” The objectives for the panel discussions were to highlight the company’s commitment to FIRST® and robotics, as well as to encourage female employees to serve as mentors. The girls were asked about how they got involved with robotics, what they have learned from robotics/teamwork, and what are the barriers for girls and women who want to pursue STEM careers, etc.
