Mechanical/Build
The final week was incredibly hectic but also extremely productive, especially for the build team even more. This year’s robot, Daisy XIV, has been completed, and the “Sparky’s Robot World” robots are following close behind! The finishing of the robots kicked the rest of the sub-teams into overdrive as well: the robot program has started to be written and the CAD drawing has been finished.
Media / PR/Awards
Just like every week, the media team worked hard on the vlog and on the robot reveal video, which is when Daisy XIV will be revealed to the public for the first time. They continued to take photos and videos for uploading to the team Flickr and YouTube channel.
Website
The website team finally completed updating the website. The reworked and completely improved website is now online for anyone’s viewing pleasure! Small improvements that specifically have been made in the last week include making a credits page and blog and beta testing the whole site. We are very happy to finally have the site completed, and we are very pleased as to how it turned out.
Programming/CAD
The programmers were extremely hard at work this week, starting and finishing the code in a short 9 days. They started with the nearly completed robot, and worked the controls out very quickly. They then moved on to autonomous mode and tested it with the robot to maximize our points gained. Once they reached the desired amount, the code was declared finished. The CAD team finished the robot’s design.
