This past weekend Team 341 went coast to coast, taking the San Diego Regional Championship and flying home with 3 trophies and a Blue Championship Banner!
I just wanted to also say thank you to our incredible coaching and college mentor staff:
Kirsten Jahn, Jared Russell, Matt Trageser, Bob Smith, Frank Torrente, Brian Sherman, Jake Zwiebel, Logan Moloshok and Adam Nedorezov.
None of this would be possible without their hard work!
Our students performed with sustained excellence in all areas of the team and should be very proud of the accomplishments below. Congratulations to everyone!
Below are just some of the highlights.

Great Stories:
A Team in Need
Our students helped to pull off a miracle on Thursday. A Brazilian team had no machine due to a shipping error and several teams worked together to build them a robot, in just a few hours. The Brazilian Team named their new robot, “Little Daisy”. Our kids skipped the beach to stay late and help a team in need. This incredibly selfless act is what makes Team 341 and the FIRST® competition, so special.
A New Friend
Our team made many great friends on this trip, but no team extended their friendship more sincerely than Team 1538, The Holy Cows, of San Diego. This team helped find housing for our Brazilian friends and arranged a wonderful Mexican dinner for our teams. Ironically our team had to face our new friends in the finals for the Championship. But in a wonderful display of Gracious Professionalism™, both teams celebrated together when the Holy Cows won the San Diego Chairman’s Award. The sight of our two teams celebrating together is one that the coaches will always remember.
